Want a Sneak Peak? Read Chapter 1 – Here!
The chiseled men of the Nashville Assassins can make anything happen when they go all-out for the women they want—even turn a one-night stand into a happily ever after.
Audrey Parker is up against the boards. She’s stuck in a job she hates and pining for a total jerk. Meanwhile, her sister Fallon is moving out and getting married to hockey star Lucas Brooks. Where is Audrey’s Prince Charming? Nothing she does has ever seemed to be good enough for any of the men in her life. Audrey’s about to hit rock bottom . . . until she wakes up next to Tate Odder.
The thrill of moving up from the minors to the Nashville Assassins was a welcome distraction. But not even becoming the first rookie goalie to tally three shutouts in the Stanley Cup Finals alleviates the pain. With the loss of his parents and sister weighing as heavily on his soul as ever, Tate Odder can’t keep pretending he’s okay. That’s when he meets smart, sexy Audrey. Her gentle warmth and quirky sense of humor make him feel whole for the first time in too long. But to stay that way forever, Tate must find a way to accept his past and learn to live for love.
Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: Taking Shots, Trying to Score, and Crossing the Line.
I absolutely loved this book. You get drawn in by the two main characters, Tate and Audrey, and you can’t help but love them. Mrs. Aleo takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and makes you feel like you really know these characters. She did that as well in her other books, which I loved dearly, and until this one Taking Shots was my favorite. Her books just keep getting better and better and I can’t wait to see what is to come! Congratulations Toni, you did an AMAZING job! – Mary 5/5 stars
As always, I love every part of Toni’s books! The style of writing, keeping the characters real, and the love between the characters just can’t be beat! This love story is unlike any other Toni has written. You won’t want to put this book down! This book was very easy to get drawn into; I laughed, cried and celebrated with the characters thru each chapter. Another great book Toni! Keep up the great work and I cannot wait to see what up next for all the characters! – Althea 5/5 stars
Audrey Parker is kooky and awesome. This time around we get to follow her journey to happily ever after. She had been hurt countless time and she usually brings it on herself. Through Empty Net, you’ll watch her grow and become the person she wants to be.
But most of all, she will love. It’s what she does best.
I love this picture. I love how the model has such long hair and how her eye lashes really bring out her eyes. This is exactly what Audrey looks like, just thicker. At a beautiful size 12, she is going to be a luscious confident heroine, with a closet full of shoes that is endless.
She will break everyone’s heart with the pain she goes through but at the same time make you smile.
Tate Odder is a young, wounded goalie who is looking for someone to fill the emptiness in his heart. After losing everything in Sweden, he comes to America to play for an Assassin’s farm team, the Florida Rays. When the Nashville Assassins’ two starting goalies are injured, Tate is brought up to replace them. He can’t speak a lick of English but is soon taken under the wing of star forward, Lucas Brooks. Everything has always come so easily to him, but being somewhere new and different, he isn’t sure how to handle it. Through Empty Net, you will follow his journey of love. To be happy, he will need to cope and find that person that wants him for him. All of him; even the damaged part.
Tate isextremely tall at 6’7, 232 pounds, dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes.
This model is Tate all over. The baby face, the eyes, everything. He is my Tate.
Will he be yours?
